RedTeam Flex - Spreadsheets

RedTeam can incorporate active spreadsheet documents within a project.

Updated over a week ago

RedTeam can incorporate active spreadsheet documents within a project. As a living document, the spreadsheets can be edited or updated by anyone with appropriate permissions. Preexisting spreadsheets can be imported for use within RedTeam, and the document within Redteam can be exported as needed.

These spreadsheets are only accessible within RedTeam by users with an active login. They are not shared to the Online Planroom. To share the spreadsheet, it can be exported into Excel (.xlsx) or PDF format.

User permissions can be selectively set to allow viewing, creating, editing, and deleting. If you need the appropriate permission to do any of these, consult your system administrator.

1. View & Edit Spreadsheets

A Project can contain multiple active Spreadsheet documents. They are easily accessible from the Home Menu, under the Performance Management section. They can also be found within the Dialog Tab, under the Menu icon.

Steps:

  1. Within a project, click the Home Menu icon in the top left, then click the appropriate Spreadsheet document.

  2. Or, within a project, go to the Dialog tab and click the Manage Correspondence icon in the upper left to view a list of all spreadsheets.

  3. With the Spreadsheet open, you will be able to make edits if you have the permissions to do so.

2. Create Spreadsheets

RedTeam can incorporate active spreadsheet documents within a project. As a living document, the spreadsheets can be edited or updated by anyone with appropriate permissions. The spreadsheet software layout will be familiar to any regular users of common spreadsheet software, such as Excel or Google Sheets. Open, export, formatting tools, and the function bar are found along the top, and additional sheets can be created or accessed within the document along the bottom bar.

Steps:

  1. To create a new Spreadsheet within a Project, go to the Dialog tab and click the Add New (+) icon.

  2. From the Dialog documents options, click Spreadsheet.

  3. With the spreadsheet open, you will be able to rename, edit, and format as needed. Click save in the upper right corner to save any changes.

3. Import Spreadsheets

Preexisting spreadsheets can be imported into a RedTeam project from either another RedTeam project or from a Excel-formatted spreadsheet document.

To import a spreadsheet from another RedTeam project, first go to the Dialog tab of the receiving project. Click the Add New (+) icon and choose Import Spreadsheet From Project. You will need the project number of the project that is providing the spreadsheet.

To import an external spreadsheet file into RedTeam, create a new spreadsheet or open a spreadsheet to be overwritten. With the spreadsheet open, click the folder icon in the top right and locate the spreadsheet file in your computer.

This is intended to bring in a spreadsheet as a live document that is directly editable within RedTeam. To upload a spreadsheet as a static reference file, you may want to upload it as a general file within the Dialog tab.

Steps:

  1. To import from another project, go to the Dialog tab of a Project and click the Add New (+) icon.

  2. Choose “Import Spreadsheet From Project”.

  3. Enter the project number, then select the spreadsheet you wish to import.

  4. To import a spreadsheet file from your computer, first go to the Dialog tab of a Project and click the Add New icon and create a new spreadsheet.

  5. With the spreadsheet open, click the folder-shaped Open File icon in the top left.

  6. Search your computer for the file you want and select it, then click Open.

  7. Once the file is imported, click Save.
