The Action Items feature in the RedTeam Flex mobile app allows project teams to quickly create, assign, and manage miscellaneous tasks directly from the field. Action items can be assigned to employees, vendors, customers, or other project participants, helping teams track responsibilities and ensure follow-up on outstanding work. To access action items, open your selected project and tap the Action Items tile located in the Project Resources section of the Projects menu.
Within the Action Items screen, users can toggle between viewing items assigned to them or all project action items. Tasks are organized by Open and Closed status, and users can expand or collapse each section using the caret icons.
Tapping an action item opens its details, including attached photos and task information. If the task has been completed, users can tap Close Action Item to move the item into closed status. Depending on company permissions, users may only be able to close their own assigned tasks or may also have permission to close tasks assigned to others.
To create a new action item, tap the blue plus (+) button in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
Users can enter a task title, select a due date, and assign the item to any project team member. Action items can also be marked Confidential, restricting visibility to the assigned individual and users with confidential permissions. Photos can be attached directly from the device camera or photo gallery to provide additional context. Once all information has been added to the action item, click Create to save the item and send an automatic email with task details to the assigned individual.
Once created, the action item is automatically added to the project list and an email notification is sent to the assigned party. Action items remain accessible in both the mobile app and the web version of RedTeam Flex, ensuring teams stay aligned across the project.
