Instructions on how to login and logout of your user account

Updated over a week ago

To begin using RedTeam Flex, you will need to log in with your user account. You should have received your login credentials from a system administrator. Visit www.redteamsoftware.com for the main login page.

Logging out when you are finished using RedTeam Flex is important. If you do not log out using the instructions in this wiki, the session stays active and you will be prompted to close or reopen the last session the next time you log in.

1. Log in to RedTeam Flex

Login to RedTeam Flex from the main web address:

Users can also login from the direct link to the login page below:

Steps:

  1. From your browser (Google Chrome recommended), navigate to www.redteamsoftware.com

  2. Locate the login button at the top of the page.

  3. Click the "Login" button beneath "RedTeam Flex".

  4. Enter your login credentials.

  5. Click "Login".

2. Log out of RedTeam Flex

RedTeam Flex customers purchase "licenses," meaning your company can have a specific number of concurrent sessions, or users, logged in to RedTeam at one time. For example, if you have purchased ten licenses, ten users may be logged in at any given time. Logging out of RedTeam frees up one of these licenses so that another session may be opened by a different user.

It is important to log out of RedTeam Flex every time you are finished using the application, so that you can free up a license for someone else to use if needed. If you do not log out using the instructions in this article, the session stays active, and you will be prompted to close or reopen the last session the next time you log in.

Steps:

  1. Click your name in the top right corner of the page.

  2. Select "Logout" from the dropdown.

3. Open a New Session or Close All

If for some reason your account was not logged out properly, you may be prompted on your next log-in to close existing sessions or open a new one. You will want to close a session if you are no longer working on it, by clicking "Close All." This will close the above-listed open sessions, kill your licenses, and open a brand new session.

You may, however, have a session open on another computer, in the middle of working on a process, and so you have the option to open a new session by clicking "New Session." Please note that a new session may not be open within the same network. This means you may not log in to your account from two different computers at the same office using the same network, but you will be able to open a new session from your home and office computers running on different networks.

Steps:

  1. Select an option from the Active Sessions screen.

4. Set up the Expiration time for your sessions

Depending on what type of RedTeam Flex Plan your company bought you could configure the duration of the session for your users.

See the table below to identify your type of plan and what options you have.

RedTeam Plan

Session Timeout

RedTeam Professional

Session can be configured to timeout after up to 8 hours of inactivity

RedTeam Enterprise

Session can be configured to timeout after up to 8 hours of inactivity

RedTeam Unlimited / APV

Session expires after 30 days of inactivity

You can find what RedTeam Plan you have from the Profile menu option > Account Details.

For Companies on the Professional or Enterprise Plans, follow the steps below to configure the Session duration.

  1. Go to the Configuration menu and click on My Company. Scroll all the way down to find the option User Session Timeout.

  2. Select a custom duration up to 8 hours for your user sessions. Sessions will automatically timeout if left inactive for the duration you configure.

By default the sessions will timeout after 8 hours.

You need to be a Company Admin to be able to access and make changes to your Company Settings.
