RedTeam Flex - Configure Markets

Customers in RedTeam Flex can be linked to Markets for tracking the associated Projects and for tracking potential Markets for future jobs.

Updated over 9 months ago

Customers in RedTeam Flex, more specifically their Facilities, can be linked to Markets for tracking the Markets that the Projects associated with each Facility fall under, as well as for tracking potential Markets for future jobs.

When a Facility--any business, department, division, or project location specified by the customer--is created for a Customer, can be linked to one of these Markets (i.e. Government, Education, Healthcare, Aviation, etc.).

These Markets are entirely customizable for your database.

1. Add a New Market

Markets are categories that can be associated with Customer Facilities, often those that will be used for Marketing targets and opportunities. In Configuration you can set up all types of Markets that your business caters to.

For instance, if the Service Provider (your company) does a majority of Projects for different kinds of healthcare facilities, you may want to create Markets such as Hospitals, Walk-In Clinics, Assisted Living, etc. rather than the broad category of "Healthcare." The Market Configuration feature allows you to specify these types of preset categories so they will be available when you and other users create Customer Facilities, and later, when they are used in the Marketing section of RedTeam. You can change a Facility's Market by editing the Customer Facility. For more information, see "Manage Customer Facility Profile" Article.

Steps:

  1. From the Configuration menu, select "Market" (under the heading: Customers)

  2. Click the New (+) icon

  3. Enter the description for the Market Name

  4. Click "Save"

2. Edit or Delete Market Category

Once a Market has been created, you can modify or remove them in the Configuration menu.

To modify the Name of the Market, you can click Edit from the tools icon and make the changes.

To remove a Market that has not been associated with a Customer Facility, you can click Delete from the tools icon and it will be removed permanently.

To remove a Market that has been associated with a Customer Facility, you can click Edit from the tools icon and make it Inactive and it will no longer be available to be used when editing or creating new Customer Facilities.

Steps:

  1. From the Configuration menu, locate "Market" (under the heading: Customers)

  2. Locate the Market category in the list

  3. Click the tools icon

  4. Click "Edit" to modify the Name of the Market, or to make it Inactive

  5. Click "Delete" to remove the Market permanently (option grayed out if in use, inactivate instead)
