RedTeam offers a marketing section designed to help your company organize potential customers and job opportunities.

Updated over a year ago

In addition to progress and financial management of your projects, RedTeam offers a marketing section designed to help your company organize potential customers and job opportunities. By entering Targets, Campaigns, and Opportunities into RedTeam, you can collaborate with team members to identify and execute the best marketing strategies for your company.

1. Create a Marketing Campaign

“Campaigns” are created in RedTeam to organize your marketing strategy by whatever criteria you choose. This may be by types of projects (i.e. retail, worship, transportation), by regions (i.e. Southeast, international, out-of-state), municipality (i.e. Dade City, Fern county, Little Creek Public Schools), or another precedent that is entirely up to you.

In addition to naming your Campaign, you can include any notes, start/finish dates, revenue and profit goals/results, and set Objectives. Once the Campaign has been created, you can associate Targets (prospective Customers) to the Campaign and create individual Opportunities (specific project or work opportunities) linked to that Target under that Campaign.

You can add a new Campaign by navigating to the Marketing section from the main menu.

Steps:

  1. Click "New Campaign".

  2. Fill out the required fields in the new Campaign form.

  3. Click "Save"

2. Convert a Marketing Opportunity to a project

In RedTeam, Opportunities can be competitive advantages, negotiations, possible sales or successful marketing, etc. These, and any Events or Interactions associated with an Opportunity can be tracked in RedTeam.

When a potential Opportunity becomes an actual offer for a project, you may convert the existing Opportunity into a Project. From there, the preconstruction/estimating team can Edit the Scope information (including the Manager) and begin putting together a cost estimate for the project.

The Opportunity must be "In Progress" in order to convert to a Project. Draft Opportunities can only be linked to existing Projects, and Cancelled Opportunities cannot be converted or linked.

Steps:

  1. Select "Convert to Project".

  2. Click "OK" in the confirmation pop up to continue.

  3. The Opportunity will now indicate that a Project has been created.

3. Add a Contact to Opportunity Team

More than likely, the bulk of users on your Opportunity Team will be your employees (Service Providers). These existing contacts will be listed in the dropdown. Simply click to add one to the Team. If the contact you want to add does not exist in the system, you may create them in the Employees section.

Steps:

  1. Click the Team tab

  2. Click "(+) Add Icon".

  3. Select an existing contact, or multiple contacts, from the list.

  4. Then click on "Place on Team"

4. Add an Interaction to Marketing Opportunity

In RedTeam, "Interactions" are used to record and document communication between you and a prospective Customer, Vendor, Third-Party, etc. Interactions let you track and quickly recall events and communication with any contact you want to add to RedTeam. For instance, Interactions can be used to take notes for important phone or conference calls, meetings or conferences, and emails. These "types" of Interactions are entirely defined by your company and configured by your System Administrator.

From the Opportunities menu under the Interactions tab, you can manage all of the Interactions and events on file in RedTeam, so that you can see all of your communication, important notes, planned steps, etc. from one place. Use the Filter to narrow criteria and create custom Interactions Log reports.

Steps:

  1. Click the Interactions tab

  2. Click "(+) Add Icon".

  3. Select "Interaction"

  4. Fill out the required fields in the new Interaction form.

  5. Click "Save and Continue"

  6. Click “Link” to link an attachment or Click “Browse” to browse for the file on your computer

  7. Click "Attach to Document"

  8. Click "Close"

  9. The Draft Interaction will now appear in the list under the Interactions tab

5. Create a Marketing Opportunity

Marketing Opportunity is a chance for a company to market or sell goods or services that emerges when their product or service satisfies the demands of a certain market better than their competition. These Opportunities can be competitive advantages, negotiations, possible sales or successful marketing, etc. It is important to record all potential marketing Opportunities by filling out the form in RedTeam. Once you have created the Opportunity, you may set up a Team and send Interactions to collaorate with employees.

Steps:

  1. Click on "(+) Add Icon" See Figure 1

  2. Fill out the required fields in the blank marketing Opportunity form

  3. Click "Save" See Figure 2

6. Create a Marketing Target

A Target is the objective entity in a marketing Campaign to which you want to appeal your services. When you create a Campaign, or strategy to market services, you must consider your Targets. These may be previous or new customers.

If the Target is a new prospective Customer, you can add them to RedTeam by following the instructions below. Targets will be available to be selected as Customers when creating new Projects as well.

Steps:

  1. Expand the marketing Campaign and click "New Target".

  2. Use the search feature to ensure the Target does not already exist in your database.

  3. Select a company profile and click "Send to RedTeam".

  4. Click "Save"

  5. From the Confirmation window, you can use the shortcut to add a new contact to the Target.
