Opting In to the New Experience
When you open the Projects menu from the left-hand navigation, you will see a blue notification banner inviting you to try the new Projects Menu experience.
Navigate to Projects from the left navigation.
Click Try now in the notification banner.
The new Projects Menu will load.
If you’re not ready to switch, select Maybe later to continue using the current (legacy) experience.
Note: The notification will include the date when the opt-in period ends. After that date, the new Projects Menu will become the standard experience for all users.
Switching Back to the Legacy Experience
During the opt-in period, you can switch back to the legacy Projects Menu at any time.
When selecting the option to return to the legacy view, you may be asked to provide feedback about your experience with the new interface. You can:
Submit feedback
Skip without providing feedback
Cancel to remain in the new experience
Your feedback helps us improve the experience before it becomes the default.
Key Features of the New Projects Menu
While the core functionality remains familiar, the updated interface introduces several enhancements designed to improve efficiency and customization.
Create a New Project
The New Project button is now located on the left side of the page.
From here, you can create a new project just as you did previously.
Project Views
You can still toggle between the same project views:
Open Projects
Favorite Projects
All Projects (includes closed and canceled projects)
But now you can also save your current view with a custom name, set it as your default view, or choose to share it with your team. To save a new view:
Click Save Current View As
Give your view a name and description
Check the Box to set this new view as your default
Click Save
To edit a saved view, simply click the More Icon (ellipses) to the right of the view title and select the action you would like to take.
Customizing Your Project Table
The new Projects Menu provides powerful customization options so you can tailor the project list to your workflow.
Choose Which Columns to Display
You can control which data columns appear in your project table.
To customize columns:
Open the Columns panel.
Use the toggle switch to turn columns on or off.
Drag and drop columns to reorder them.
Use the pin icon to keep important columns fixed on the left side.
Pinned columns remain visible even when scrolling horizontally.
You can also search for specific columns in the Columns panel to quickly find the data you need.
Sorting & Filtering Projects
Each column can be sorted directly from the table.
Click the column arrows to cycle through sorting options:
Ascending
Descending
Unsorted
Filtering is now applied directly at the column level, allowing for more flexible filtering across multiple columns.
To filter a column:
Click the filter icon in the column header.
Select a filter rule (such as Starts With or Contains).
Enter the desired value.
Apply the filter.
You can also create multiple rules within a filter to match any of several values.
Example:
Filter projects where the Project Number starts with "102" or "104".
Multiple columns can be filtered at the same time.
Viewing and Managing Active Filters
The Filters button at the top of the page displays all active filters.
From here you can:
View all applied filters
Remove individual filters
Clear all filters to return to the full project list
Reports and Exporting Data
The Reports feature remains available on the Projects page, but is now found within the Reports button, rather than the View icon.
You can also export the current project list in several formats:
CSV
Excel
PDF
Exports will reflect the current filters and view settings applied to the table.
Adjusting Display Density
You can control how much spacing appears between rows in the project table.
Available options include:
Comfortable (more spacing)
Moderate
Compact (fits more projects on screen)
This allows you to choose between improved readability or seeing more projects at once.
Searching for Projects
The search bar allows you to quickly find projects by:
Project Name
Project Number
Project Manager
For example, you can search for projects where you are the project manager.
Minimal Action Menu Option
The Show Minimal Action Menu setting allows you to reduce the size of the action menu displayed for each project.
When enabled, the action menu appears as an ellipses.
When disabled, the full set of action icons is displayed.
Currently available actions include:
Opening Project Home
Opening the Project Plan Room
Favoriting Projects
You can now favorite projects directly from the project list.
Simply click the star icon next to a project to add it to your Favorites list.
Favorited projects appear in the Favorite Projects view, making it easier to focus on projects you work with most often.
Additional Project Tabs
The Projects Menu still includes the additional tabs you’re familiar with:
Bids
Work in Progress
These sections have also received interface updates similar to the main Projects Menu. The WIP tab in particular now includes several additional columns, an option for grouping by Market, and the ability to sort or filter by any column.
Try the New Projects Menu
The new Projects Menu is designed to help you find projects faster, customize your workspace, and streamline project management.
We encourage you to try the new experience during the opt-in period and share feedback to help us continue improving the platform.
