Setting your notification preferences in Fieldlens

Manage Notifications

By default, you’ll receive a daily email of project updates from any Fieldlens project you’re on. But any registered Fieldlens user can control how, and how often, they get notified. We get that these may be different depending on your role in each project.

From both web and mobile you can, of course, turn off notifications altogether.

How to adjust your notifications from the mobile app

  1. From the Projects Page click the 3 dots menu in the upper right and choose Settings.

  2. Select Notifications from the menu.

  3. There you’ll see options to control push and email notifications for all projects, and also you can configure Project-specific notifications. You can set up what type of notification you want to receive for each action. On this screen, you also can see what are your current selected preferences.
    Fieldlens can send email notifications and also push notifications on your mobile device when you have the mobile app installed.

  4. Notifications can be set for updates to posts...

    • Assigned to you

    • Sento you or you've responded

    • Assigned to your company

    • Sent to your company

    • Posted by you

    For each one of these, you can set up Push and/or Email notifications.

    Email notifications can be sent Instantly, Daily, Instantly and Daily, Never.

Select the combination that better works for you, and click the check mark on the top right to save your changes.

How to adjust your notifications from the web app

  1. Click your profile picture in the top right corner of the web app.

  2. Go to the Settings section on the left

  3. Choose Notifications from the left-hand side of the screen.

Select between Mobile Push notifications and Email notifications.

Project Specific Notifications

You can set up notifications on a Project basis. When you configure Project-Specific Notifications, these will override your general settings for those projects.

To configure Project-specific notifications follow the steps below:

  1. Click Set custom notifications for a Project and select a project from the dropdown option.

  2. You can either mute the project or select what type of notifications you need for this project.

  3. Click Next to select what type of updates you need to receive and the frequency


    In the first dropdown, you can select from the list, the list includes the main quick filters and also your saved Custom filters. (To learn more about Custom Filters click here)

  4. Select the frequency for your email notifications and select if you wish to receive Mobile push notifications.

  5. Click Save when you are done selecting your options.

    NOTE: You can select more than 1 option for the same project.
    For example: If you want to receive notifications for RFIs and for Safety items.

    You need to repeat step 3 once you are in the Main Notifications screen. See the image below.
