RedTeam Flex - Submit or Rescind a Customer Proposal

How to submit and rescind customer proposals.

In RedTeam Flex you prepare a Proposal while a Project is in Request status. Once you are ready to submit the Proposal, you will promote the Project from Request status to Proposal status and send it to your Customer.

A Customer who has received a Proposal from you may request or negotiate changes to the existing Proposal. To make these changes and update the Proposal document, you will need to Uncommit the Pricing by demoting the Project from Proposal to Request status. Then you can make the changes and promote once again to Proposal status.

Every time you promote to Proposal status, RedTeam automatically takes a snapshot of the Proposal so that you will always have a history of every Proposal you submitted for this Project.


1. Submit a Proposal

All Project Statuses are updated from the Status bar dropdowns. If your role permits, you can click the current status at the top of the page to promote or demote a Project.

When you are done preparing your Proposal and you have previewed it to review all information and pricing, and you are ready to submit the Proposal to your Customer, you will "Commit Pricing" and promote the Project from Request to Proposal status.

Every time you promote to Proposal status, RedTeam automatically takes a snapshot of the Proposal so that you will always have a history of every Proposal you submitted for this Project.

If you do not have permissions to promote Projects, please contact your system administrator or contact RedTeam Flex Support.

Steps:

  1. Click "Request" in the status bar (highlighted red) at the top of the page.

  2. Click "Promote (Commit Pricing").


2. Send a Proposal to the Customer

When your Proposal to the Customer has been prepared, reviewed, and the Project has been moved to "Proposal" status to remove the DRAFT watermark, you are ready to send the Proposal to your Customer. To do this, follow the instructions to View the proposal. In the upper right-hand corner, click "Email" to email a copy to your Customer, or "Print" to send the Proposal to print for faxing or mailing. When the signed Proposal is returned, be sure to upload it as a Contract Document.

Steps:

  1. From the Proposal View, click "Email" or "Print" in the top right corner


3. Rescind Proposal

All Project Statuses are updated from the Status bar dropdowns. If your role permits, you can click the current status at the top of the page to promote or demote a Project.

When you have promoted a Project to Proposal status and submitted the Proposal to your customer, you may find that the customer wants to negotiate changes to the Proposal you submitted. In these cases, you will simply Uncommit the Pricing by demoting the Project back to Request status to you can make the changes. Once the changes are made and the Proposal is updated, you promote back to Proposal status and again submit the Proposal to your customer.

Every time you promote to Proposal status, RedTeam automatically takes a snapshot of the Proposal so that you will always have a history of every Proposal you submitted for this Project.

If you do not have permissions to demote Projects, please contact your system administrator or contact RedTeam Flex Support.

Steps:

  1. Click "Proposal" in the status bar (highlighted red) at the top of the page.

  2. Click "Demote (Uncommit Pricing)".


4. View Proposal History

Each time a project is promoted to the "proposal" status a version of the current proposal is saved. You can review all previous versions of the proposal by viewing the proposal and following the steps below.

Steps:

  1. Navigate to the contract tab and open the contract proposal by clicking the file icon.

  2. Select the drop-down box titled "History" in the upper-right corner of the window.

  3. You can select all previous versions of the project proposal from the list that displays.
