RedTeam Flex - Getting Started: Campaigns and Opportunities

RedTeam Flex offers an Opportunities section designed to help your company organize potential customers and job opportunities.

In addition to the progress and financial management of your projects, RedTeam Flex offers an Opportunities section designed to help your company organize potential customers and job opportunities. By entering Opportunities into RedTeam Flex, you can collaborate with team members to identify and execute the best strategies for your company.

1. Create an Opportunity

An Opportunity is a chance for a company to market or sell goods or services, which emerges when their product or service satisfies the demands of a certain market better than their competition. Opportunities can represent competitive advantages, negotiations, possible sales, or successful marketing efforts, among others. It is important to record all potential Opportunities by filling out the form in RedTeam Flex.

Once you have created the Opportunity, you may set up a Team (see section 4 of this article) and send Interactions (see article: Manage Interactions) to collaborate with employees.

Steps:

  1. Go to the Opportunities menu and click on the Plus icon (+).

  2. Fill out the required fields in the Opportunity Details section.

  3. Fill out any additional fields you would like in the Additional Information section.

RedTeam Flex allows you to capture additional optional details within the Opportunity form, such as Owner and Architect information, project team members, and other project-specific data. These fields are not required — fill in only what is relevant or available at this stage, and update the Opportunity later as more details become known.

  4. Click Save.

2. Create a Campaign

Campaigns are created in RedTeam Flex to organize your strategy by whatever criteria you choose. This may be by project type (e.g., retail, worship, transportation), region (e.g., Southeast, international, out-of-state), municipality (e.g., Dade City, Fern County, Little Creek Public Schools), or any other criteria that fits your needs.

In addition to naming your Campaign, you can include notes, start/finish dates, and revenue and profit goals. Once the Campaign has been created, you can associate Opportunities with it to track your marketing efforts within that Campaign.

Steps:

  1. Go to the Opportunities menu, click on the Hamburger icon and select Campaigns.

  2. From the Manage Campaigns screen, click + New.

  3. Fill out the fields and click Save.

3. Convert an Opportunity to a Project

In RedTeam Flex, Opportunities can represent competitive advantages, negotiations, possible sales, or successful marketing efforts, among others. These, along with any Events or Interactions associated with an Opportunity, can be tracked in RedTeam Flex.

When a potential Opportunity becomes an actual offer for a project, you may convert the existing Opportunity into a Project. From there, the preconstruction/estimating team can edit the Scope information (including the Manager) and begin putting together a cost estimate for the project.

The Opportunity must be In Progress in order to convert it to a Project. Draft Opportunities can only be linked to existing Projects, and Cancelled Opportunities cannot be converted or linked.

Steps:

  1. Go to the Opportunities menu, locate and click on the Opportunity you want to convert to a Project.

  2. From the Profile tab, select Convert to Project.

  3. Accept the confirmation pop-up message to continue.

  4. A confirmation message will populate.

  5. The Opportunity will now indicate that a Project has been created.

4. Add a Contact to the Opportunity Team

More than likely, the bulk of users on your Opportunity Team will be your employees (Service Providers). These existing contacts will be listed in a dropdown of contacts (your employees). If the contact you want to add does not exist in the system, you may create it in the Employees menu.

Steps:

  1. Go to the Opportunities menu, then locate and click on the desired Opportunity.

  2. Go to the Team tab and click on + New.

  3. You can decide to add different types of contacts, in this case you can select Add Service Provider.

  4. Select an existing contact, or multiple contacts, from the list, then click Place on Team.

  5. You will now see the selected contacts on the Service Providers List.
