RedTeam allows users to create, customize and manage proposal forms (also known as owner contract, customer contract, construction contract) to fit any business relationship. This level of project control begins with the configuration or creation of proposals under the three types. Proposals and Chance Proposals can be Fixed Price, Time & Materials, or Construction Management type.
1. Add Proposal Form: General Information(1 of 5)
When you add a new Proposal Form in Configuration, the first section is General Information. This is the first of five sections when Adding or Editing a Proposal Form. Please see the full article procedure for details (search article for: "Configure Proposal Forms")
Original Proposal Format section Fields & Definitions:
Type: (Required): Select which type of type of proposal you are creating. The available types are Fixed Price, Time & Material, or Construction Management.
Proposal Name: (Required): The name that the proposal being created will be shown as when selecting the proposal format in the “Contract” tab.
Steps:
From Configuration, locate “Proposal Forms” (under the heading: Projects).
Click the New (+) icon.
Fill out the required fields (required fields are designated by an asterisk).
When you have filled in the General section, move to the next section: Original Proposal Format.
2. Add Proposal Form: Original Proposal Format (2 of 5)
When you add a new Proposal Form in Configuration, the second section is Original Proposal Format. This is the second of five sections when Adding or Editing a Proposal Form. Please see the full article procedure for details (search article for: "Configure Proposal Forms").
Original Proposal Format section Fields & Definitions:
Custom View:(Required): A listing of the available views for the proposal based on the type. Once set cannot be edited.
Title:(Required): The title of the proposal who will be displayed at the top of the document (i.e. "Fixed Price Proposal", "Our Proposal").
RE: The RE line can be formatted to provide the information that should be displayed about the proposal.
Display: Facility: The information entered in the "Scope" tab for Facility will be displayed at the top of the proposal.
Display: Work Location: The information entered in the "Scope" tab for the Work Location will be displayed at the top of the proposal.
Display: Retainage: Displays the retainage amount that is filled out in the "Contract" tab.
Display: Billing Terms: Displays the billing terms that are selected in the "Contract" tab.
Display: Proposed Substantial Completion Date: Displays the information
Display: Customer Contract ID: Displays the information entered in the "Contract" tab for the Customer Contract ID. Appears at the top of the proposal.
Display: Proposal Amount (Price): Displays the total price from the "Estimate" tab or if the estimate is unlinked, the manually created price in the "Contract" tab.
Display: Proposed Duration: Displays proposed duration information entered in the "Contract" tab.
Display: Punch Duration: Displays the punch duration information entered in the "Contract" tab.
Display: Final completion Date: Displays the proposed final completion date from the "Contract" tab.
Display: Liquidated Damages (Substantial): Displays the amount that is entered in the "Contract" tab in the Liquidated Damages (Substantial) field.
Display: Liquidated Damages (Final): Displays the amount that is entered in the "Contract" tab in the Liquidated Damages (Final) field.
Preamble: Any preparatory or introductory statements can be entered here. Will be displayed before the "Scope of Work" section.
Taxes: Formatting of how the tax information will be displayed on the proposal.
Include Clarifications: Toggle on or off whether Clarifications will be included in the proposal.
Expiration: Displays the information entered in the expiration field of the "Contract" tab. This is the amount of time for which the proposal is valid.
Footer: the footer section of the document, typically formatted for a signature block
Steps:
Enter information and toggle checkboxes to configure fields to customize the look of your Proposal.
When you have completed Original Proposal Format, move to the next section: Original Proposal Email Section.
3. Add Proposal Form: Original Proposal Email Section (3 of 5)
When you add a new Proposal Form in Configuration, the third section is Original Proposal Email. This is the third of five sections when Adding or Editing a Commitment Form. Please see the full wiki procedure for details (search wiki for: "Configure Proposal Forms").
Original Proposal Email section Fields & Definitions:
Email Subject: Section that is used to standardize what will appear as the subject when emailing a Proposal. This area allows text tags that can automatically fill in information. The text tags are accessed by selecting the blue ribbon on the right side of the window.
Steps:
Enter desired information in the “Email Subject” box that you would like displayed in the subject.
When you have completed Original Proposal Email Section, move to the next section: Change Proposal Format.
4. Add Proposal Form: Change Proposal Format (4 of 5)
When you add a new Proposal Form in Configuration, the fourth section is Change Proposal Format. This is the fourth of five sections when Adding or Editing a Proposal Form. Please see the full article procedure for details (search article for: “Configure Proposal Forms”).
Change Proposal Format section Fields & Definitions:
Custom View:(Required) A listing of the available views for the proposal based on the type. Once set cannot be edited.
Title:(Required): The title of the proposal who will be displayed at the top of the document (i.e. “Fixed Price Proposal”, “Our Proposal”).

Display: Project #: The project number will be displayed instead of displaying only the Scope Change Name.
Display: Facility: The information entered in the “Scope” tab for Facility will be displayed at the top of the proposal.
Display: Work Location: The information entered in the “Scope” tab for the Work Location will be displayed at the top of the proposal.
Display: Customer Contract ID: Displays the information entered in the “Contract” tab for the Customer Contract ID. Appears at the top of the proposal.
Display: Change Proposal Amount (Price) Displays the total price from the “Contract” tab for the Change Order the proposal is being generated for.
Display: Time Impact: Displays the information from the time impact field from the “Contract” tab for the Change Order the proposal is being generated for.

5. Change Proposal Email Section (5 of 5)

6. Edit or Delete a Proposal Form
If at any time, you need to make changes to a Proposal Form, you can do so from Configuration. The edit option will allow you to make changes to the formatting and information displayed on a Proposal Form. Any edits completed will only affect proposal’s in draft status or created after the edits were done.
Note: If “Delete” is not an option and the button is grayed out, the proposal has been used on a project. To keep any project that the proposal was used on from having errors, the proposal cannot be deleted.
