Fieldlens user roles explained

Learn what you can do in Fieldlens based on your role in a Project.

Updated over a week ago

In Fieldlens we do not have multiple user roles or permissions to restrict the use of certain features. This is focused on making the user experience simple and friendly.

In the lines below, you will find a description of each role and also a table to compare roles with one another to understand better what access you can have according to your role.

The 3 basic user roles we have are:

  • Company Admin:
The Company Admin by default will be the first user that signed up and created a Fieldlens account for that Company.
Company admins can designate other Company users to be Admins as well.

A company Admin can participate in a Project as Project Organizer or Collaborator.
Can be a Project Organizer if it's the project creator or if a current Project Organizer designates him as such.

Can be a collaborator on any project he's invited to.
Being a Company Admin but not a Project Organizer does not give you full access to change certain Project Configurations. See the chart below to learn more about the role's access.

  • Project Organizer:
The Project Organizer by default will be the user that created the Project.
The Project Organizer can assign other users to be Organizers as well.

  • Collaborator:
All users collaborating on a Project that are not Project Organizers are designated just as Collaborators.

If you do not know if you are a Project Organizer for your job, go to the People Tab in your Project, and see the list of users, Project Organizers have a green star next to their names.
