Service Locations are addresses to physical locations of a Facility--business, department, division, or project location as specified by the Customer. A Customer may have multiple Facilities and a Facility may have multiple Service Locations. Service Locations can be managed from the Customers section under the Locations tab, or from the Configuration section by following the instructions below.
1. Add Service Location
Service Locations are most often created within a Project, when setting up the Work Location for the job and when adding new Customers to the database.
When you create these locations, they are automatically added to the list of Locations under a Customer Facility. You can find, create, modify, and remove them from the Customers menu (locate and click the Customer > Facilities > locate and click the Facility > Locations tab). You can do the same things from the Configuration menu. This Wiki shows you how to add a new Service Location from Configuration.
Steps:
From Configuration, locate "Service Locations" (under the heading: Customers).
Click the New (+) icon.
Fill out the required fields in the blank Service Locations form.
Click "Save".
2. Update Project Work Location
The Work Location of the Project is the address of the jobsite, where the actual work will take place. The Location of the Project can be set up when you are creating a new Project, or it may be updated later if you do not have the Project Work Location address available initially.
The Work Location appears in the Project's Online Planroom, as well as on the following documents:
Requests for Quote
Customer Proposals
Buyout Commitments (subcontracts, purchase orders, etc.) and Vendor Change Orders
Customer Billing
Customer Change Orders
Requests for Submittals
Submittal Requests for Approval
Submittal Notifications to Vendor
Punch List Requests for Correction
When the Work Location is updated or changed in the Scope tab, it is updated on all of the documents above with the exception of Committed Customer Proposals and Change Proposals, as these documents are snapshots and must be Uncommitted then Committed again in order to take a new snapshot.
The Work Location can be changed while the Project is in Draft, Request, Proposal, or In Progress status.
