Labor Categories can be Configured under the Labor Categories or Master Inventory Items in the Configuration menu. In order to access the Labor Categories under the Configuration menu, first ensure that your Timekeeping and Payroll Settings under "My Company" have been set to use Labor Categories.
Inventory Items are most typically standard rates for various categories of labor that are used in both Estimating and Billing on Projects.
Note for Estimators:
Inventory Items can be added from a dropdown to a cost code Assembly in a Project Estimate. This will pull in and use the Standard Estimate rate for the Item automatically.
On T&M Projects, the Standard Price rates are used for Billing in T&M Sheets.

Add a Labor Category
The purpose of Labor Categories in RedTeam is both pricing on the construction management side (charging your Customers) and compensation on the timesheets and payroll side (paying your employees). Labor Categories determine how labor is posted to job cost.
Employees in RedTeam Flex are assigned to a Labor Category, which is associated with a specific rate. This rate is then used when computing timesheets in RedTeam Flex. These Labor Categories and their rates may be configured in the Configuration section by following the instructions in this Wiki.
The option to set up Labor Categories as outlined in the steps below is only available if your company settings for timekeeping and payroll are configured to use Labor Categories. To verify your company settings, go to "My Company" in the Configuration menu and scroll to "Timekeeping and Payroll Settings" and be sure "Use Standard Cost rates by Labor Category for Job Cost" is selected.
Steps:
From the Configuration menu, click "Labor Categories" under the heading "Employees". If the option is grayed out and unavailable, check settings in "My Company".
Click the New (+) icon
Enter the Item Title (i.e. Laborer), Element of Cost (Labor), and Unit of Measure (Hours). Required fields designated by an asterisk.
If the Labor Category is Billable (you will bill a customer for this type of Labor on a T&M Project), check the Billable box
Enter in the Rates for the new labor Category: Price (if Billable), Cost, and Cost Estimate (click "Read More" to see a definition of each rate)
Select the Divisions of your Company for which this Labor Category will be used for job cost by clicking "Add Company Division"
Click "Save"
