RedTeam Go - How do I approve time cards?

This article will explain how to approve time cards.

Updated over a year ago

To approve time cards, you must be a Project Manager in RedTeam Go. You will click on Accounting>Time Cards>Approve Time.

There are two time card reports for each employee’s time. One for the current week, and also a Bi-Weekly time report. Click on the report to review the entire week/two-week’s time. You will see the hours as well as the cost code the employee has coded their time to.

You can also click on the individual date to open up the time for that date. Project Managers can edit an employee’s time, reassign the cost code, and resubmit the hours for approval if modifications/corrections need to be made to an employee’s time card prior to approval.

Once you have reviewed the time cards, from the Time Card List, you will see an Approval Check Box on the right-hand side of the daily time. Check the box to approve.

Once time cards are approved, the number of hours is multiplied by the Employee Wage Rate to get the total costs committed to the project.

You'll see this total cost committed on the Job Cost Statement Report, the Budget Worksheet, Owner Budget vs. Actuals report, and it will also automatically push to the WIP column of our Owner Bills (excluding the Custom Unrestricted SOV option).

For those clients with an accounting Integration with QuickBooks Desktop, the process above is the same. With the integration the number of approved Time Card hours push to QuickBooks Desktop into the time cards module.

For those clients with an accounting Integration with QuickBooks Online, the number of approved Time Card hours push to QuickBooks Desktop into the time cards module. However, the integration can pull back the employee cost from the QuickBooks time card module and show them on the Total Cost to Date column of the Job Cost Statement, as opposed to using the value from the time card x Employee Wage rate value that RedTeam Go calculates.
