Cost Code Assemblies can be used to establish standard costing for Estimates in RedTeam.
A Cost Code Assembly can include one or more Items that make up the scope and cost of different elements of a Project Estimate.
An example of a Master Assembly might look like this:
01000 - General Conditions
Project Manager
Project Superintendent
Permits
Temp Utilities
Trash Removal
1. Create a Master Assembly
In RedTeam, cost codes are further defined in the Project Estimate through Assemblies, which detail the specific scope items to be provided for the cost code on a project.
In the Configuration menu, Master Assemblies are created to be used on the Project Estimate. When a Master Assembly is imported into an Estimate, it pulls in the Items, which can be adjusted and expanded upon based on the scope of that particular project.
Steps:
From the Configuration menu, click "Master Assemblies".
Click the New (+) icon.
Select a Cost Code for which you will create a new Assembly.
Click "Save"
Search for the new Assembly in the list and click the tools icon to Edit.
Edit the Assembly Items and/or use the "Add Item" section to add more.
When you are finished, close the window
To save a new Master Assembly from within a project estimate, simply open the Assembly and click the More icon; select "Save as a new Master Assembly".
2. Edit or Delete Master Assembly Items
In RedTeam, Master Assemblies are selected from a pre-determined list which is managed in the Services section of the Configuration menu. Master Assemblies may include default Assembly Items, and are grouped under Cost Codes, the general numbering system that classifies costs. These Cost Codes are grouped by company defined Cost Divisions, for organizing purposes. In the Configuration menu, Master Assemblies can be created, assigned default Items, associated with a Cost Code(s) and grouped under a Cost Division. Once you have added default Assembly Items, you may edit and/or delete them.
Steps:
In the Configuration menu, click "Master Assemblies" under the Services heading to display the list of Assemblies See Figure 1
Locate and click the tools icon for the Master Assembly you wish to edit/delete; select Edit to open the assembly.
To Edit an item within the assembly, click the pencil Icon for that item; to delete an item, click the trash can icon.
To "inactivate" the entire Master Assembly, click the pencil icon for the Assembly title and uncheck the box labeled "Active".
When finished Editing either the item or the entire assembly, click the floppy disc icon to save your changes.
Click the Blue "Save" button in the top right corner of the window when finished with all changes to the Master Assembly.
