The Bulk Import feature allows anyone to create a large number of posts on any project with just a few clicks, as many times as needed. This can be useful for any set of tasks that needs to be done on more than one of your projects, such as:
List of areas that need to be looked at in your pre-construction documentation
Post a safety checklist that needs to be completed on each project
Daily reminder to document manpower on site
In most cases, this is used to generate a recurring set of tasks that need to be completed on all of your projects. However, assignees are optional in this feature, so it may not necessarily be assigned work to do. In both cases, it is a lot faster to publish a pre-determined list of posts than it is to create that same list over and over again manually on your projects.
All you need to do is upload a CSV of posts in your Company Settings, and import that list of posts into any of your projects.
How to upload a CSV of posts
(Note: Only company administrators can upload and remove CSVs of posts, but anyone in your company can import them.)
Go to Fieldlens on the browser (app.fieldlens.com)
Open your user menu (top right of the screen)
Click "Settings"
Click on "Company Settings" at the top of the screen
Select "Bulk Import" on the menu on the left side of the screen
Download the sample CSV to fill in
Fill in the CSV with the list of posts you'd like to generate, and save it with a descriptive name in your computer (note: title and at least one category are required!)
Click on "Upload a CSV" and select the CSV file you created
Now you can publish this list of posts into any of your projects!
How to import a list of posts into a project
Note: Only company administrators can upload and remove CSVs of posts. Bulk posts can be added only to Projects created by your Company.
Go to Fieldlens on the browser (app.fieldlens.com)
Open your user menu (top right of the screen)
Click "Settings"
Click on "Company Settings" at the top of the screen
Select "Bulk Import" on the menu on the left side of the screen
Look up which file of posts you would like to import
Click "Add to project", select your project from the list, and assign anyone if necessary!
You can view the list of all the documents previously added to projects, by clicking the Previously Added button on the right.
You can keep yous CSV files stored in your account and you can make them available for everyone in your company or keep them as your personal files only, simple chosse the tab Company Official or Personal, and using the 3 dots menu on the right you can move them from one tab to the other.
You can also edit the name, download the CSV file or delete it completely.
Remember this feature is only available for Company Admins.
