RedTeam Flex - Changes Overview Report

Change management is an essential component of construction project management.

Updated over a year ago

Change management is an essential component of construction project management. As a project progresses, the original contract agreement may require changes that add or remove elements from the scope of work. It is critical that changes to the scope are properly documented and accounted for to avoid disagreements or disputes. This is necessary both for properly budgeting the project and providing an accurate price to the customer. RedTeam gathers the financial details of a project's changes in one place within the Changes Overview. This report lists the original contract details with the price, commitments, indirect cost rates, and profit. It also includes every Customer Change Order, including a breakdown of all commitments for each scope change within the CO.

1. Access the Changes Overview Report

The changes overview gives a financial overview of a project in the context of all Customer Change Orders. It also includes potential, unapproved scope changes and cancelled changes that can be recovered, edited, and approved as needed.

The upper section covers contract details for the original contract and the aggregated change orders. It includes the contract amounts, total committed buyouts, estimates to complete, indirect costs, and profits.

Below that, you will find a full list of customer changes, arranged by status. Note that internal changes are not included in this list. The Changes have two columns, priced and delta.

Priced: The budget for the Change Order, including the included Scope Changes, and any remaining At Risk, as well as the indirect cost allocations.

Delta: Change total minus Vendor Change Orders issued against it and any At Risk amounts equals the Delta.

Steps:

  1. Go to the project in question and click the Home menu icon in the top left.

  2. Click Changes Overview in the Reports section of the Home menu.

  3. After opening the report, click [Print] in the upper right to print (change the print destination to save it as a PDF).
