This article describes the In Progress status.

Updated over 8 months ago

Projects are moved from the Pending Status to In Progress status with the Budget Worksheet in the Unlocked state (formerly called Will Start Soon status). At this time, the Job Setup Report will be sent to their Accountant with general project information so it can be entered in accounting software (contract amount, owner contact information, etc.). In the Unlocked state, the GC can decide on allocation of Markup amounts, set their construction budget, and perform buy out, prior to Locking the Budget. Subcontracts and Purchase Orders (POs) are also available to be written in the Unlocked state. Once the Budget is prepared, the GC will Lock the Budget to access the full set of active Project Management features.

Locking the Budget sends the Budget Report to the Accountant for entry into accounting software (this process is automated for those with an active accounting integration). In the Locked state, the GC has full access to all project management functions (subcontracts, purchase orders, change orders, potential change orders, sub billing, owner billing, submittals, request for information (RFIs), meeting minutes, punchlist, and closeout). Any change to the Budget from this point on will be reflected in Changes.
